N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS INTERRUPTED BY RAIN Wellington, Tuesday. The New Zealand lawn tennis championships opened at Miramar courts to-day in windy and showery weather. The only match completed before rain caused a stoppage at 1.15 p.m., 'after a late . start, was that in which B. Hill (Manawatu) beat E. Burton (Taranaki), 5-7, 6-2, 6-2.
