BECOMES A KILLER DRESSED AS A LABOURER MURDERS TWO HUSBANDS FIVE SHILLINGS FOR EACH,
-By Telegrapli — Copyrlght)
Budapest, January 13. After she was divorced in 1907, Victoria Rieger became a 'manhater" and adopted male guise. She worked on a farm as a labourer, and smoked a pipe. Her masquerade was not suspected until she was arrested at Szeged for murdering two farmers at the behest of their faithless wives. Rieger in each case lassoed her victim and hoisted him on to a beam in a barn, leaving him there to die, after which she collected her reward of "two hattles of wine and a sum of money equivalent to five shillings. She has been sentenced to death", and the farmers' wives to long terms of imprisonment.
