TROUT FISHING

Fishermen report that good sport can now be obtained in the Tarawera River, some good catches having been made lately. Rivers are running very low which makes the small streams easily fordable. Fish are hard to eatch in the lower Rangitaild owing probably to the abundance of feed. Fishermen have to travel well into Galatea before reaching good fishing grounds.
