WEDDING
O'SULLIVAN— HENNESSEY A px-etty wedding was celebrated at St. Mary's- Church Opotiki on Wednesday at 10 a.m. when Winifred, second daughtefi of Mr. ,and Mrs. T. H. Hennessey, was married to John David, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. O'Sullivan, by the Rev. Father Brady. Thei bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore -a delicate frock o-f powder hlue georgette . and laee. The tight-fitting bodice was relieved hy a yoke of lace, , and the • Adl ankle length skirt was finislied '
of georgette. Her blue lace crinoline hat toned with the satin shoes. The bridesmand, Miss Irene Hennessy, sister of the bride, was dressed in shell pink crepe-de-chine of ankle length. Her tight fitting bodice was trimmed with frills at the waist line, the neck and sleeves being similarly treated. The bride's bouquet was of pink elarksia; gladioli and maidenhair fern tied with pink satin ribbons, while that of the bridesmaid was of deep blue jcornflowers, blu'e salvia, pink carnations and maidenhair fern, tied with blue ribbon. Mrs. Hennessy, mother of the bride, wore a smart frock of navy blue georgette and lace relieved with scarlet. Her hat was a scarlet bangkok straw and she carried a boquet of thalictrum and red gladioli, tied with ma.uve ribbons. Mrs. O'Sullivan, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of black flowered ninon with a smart straw hat to tone, and carried a boquet of pink hollyhock, yellow gladioli, pink scabius and asparagus fern tied with pink ribbons. Mr. E. Burrows, of Auckland, was best man and Miss Lettie Parkinson, organist. The wedding breakfast was held in the Farmers' Social Rooms, the tables being decorated with sweet peas and asparagus fern and a large white wedding bell. At the reception Mr. N. J. Cooke sang "The Fishermen of England" and "The Rose of Tralee." Messrs -J. Young and V. J. Cooke contributed a vocal duet, "Paradise for Two." The encore was sung hy Mr. J. Young,' who rendered "Mate o' Mine." Miss Letty Parkinson played the .accornpaniments throughout. Mr. and Mrs. O'Sullivan left by private car for their honeymoon tour through the north. The bride wore a becoming summer outfit of pink. )
