PAIRS CONTEST CONTINUES IN PERFECT WEATHER PRESIDENT'S DAY

Wellington, Thursday. The weather was again excellent for the New Zealand bowling championships. The pairs contest was continued. This is the president's day, and the greens are bright with bunting. The section-winners are: MeWhannel, Kerr, Higginbotham, Casey, Gordon, Parkhouse, Squire, Manning, Ives, Marris, Vitetta, Marks, Goodwin, Livingston, Benefield, Franks, Rolls, McComish, Douglass, Hutchison. Section ties are: — Currie and MacKenzie, Hardley and Jones, Comettie and Lowry, Ingram and Lambert, Adams and Skoglund, Taylor Hill and Spencer. The ties will be played off this afternoon. *
