Rec. Jan. 8, 6.30 p.m. Bendigo, Jan. 8. ; The weather was hot and the wicket'good when the Englishmen met Bendigo. Bendigo hatted 13 men' and the Englishmen 12, both sides fielding 11. Bendigo scored 215, Porter 55, Raffan 48. Larwood took four wickets for 29 runs, Verity, three for 43, and Mitchell three for 38. England lost one wicket for 30, Sutcliffe not out 13, Jardine 11.
