CHINESE TROOPS
FOR WEAK POSITIONS | Rec. Jan. 8, 6.30 p.m. Shanghai, Jan. 7. The gravest anxiety was felt when 52 trains carrying between 8000 Chinese troops passed through Tsientsin to reinforce wealc positions between the Lau River and Shanhaikuan. The Japanese have 6000 troops on the spot. Chang Hsueh Liang's represe.ntative has arrived at Nanking to discuss the position with Chang Kai Shing.
