Show them you won't be intimidated, but treat them on a basis of equality, and not as a subject people. Play a soldier's part; be apostles for Ireland. We shall not betray your eonfidence, and will not tax you beyond your strength'. If private enterprise does not make the nation self-suffi-eient tbe Government may have to do its part of the work."
