Rome, December 31. Mussolini's New Year gesture to Austria was an order for the release df the beautiful, golden-haired Austf ian dancer Greta Blahia, the mistress of Bovone, who was executed last June. A pathetie figure during Bovone's trial, Blahia was sentenced to 30 years' imprisonmeiit for complicity in a plot against Mussolini's life. The Austrian Minister, in supporting the petitions, urged that the re^ lease would have an excellent effect dn, Austro-Italian relations. Mussolini With a chajacteristically swift deeision; ordered the dancer's liberation in time for Christraas. Blahia was secretly rushed to the frontier in a special railway coach. The news was suppressed, in order to avoid resentment on the part of the five other plotters who were sentenced at the s'ame tilne as Blahia and Bovone. .
