SEVENTEEN LOST
ENGINEERS AMAZED Rec. Jan. 5, T.40 p.m. London, January 5. Cherbourg reports that 17 are missing from the Atlantique personnel of 228. Engineers at the shipyards, at which the Atlantique was launched are astounded at the rapidity of the spread of the flames. They stress that every known precautionary device was installed.
