Smith's sheep Statioa at Te Ngae and was pronounced'satisfactory subject to the removal oi" certain fences and a small amoUnt of filling work. Mr. R. Copeland Smith received the visitors with every courtesy and has granted the necessary permission to use the. landing ground. Th© Borough Council Publicity Com mittee will shortly be asked for their assistance in the preparation of the runway for the landing. The expense to a certain limit will be bornc by the visitors. The itinerary provides for the Southern Cross to come straight through to Rotorua after the landing at New Plymouth and after allowing of a sufficient time for -the party to recuperate at Rotorua after the trans-Tasman flighty the Southern Cross will undertake passenger flights — tlie machine will car.ly up to 14 passengers on a trip and each flight will occupy about 15 minutes.
