Rec. Jan. 3, 8.5 p.m. Melbourne, Jan. 3. A daring and expert bank robbery was earried out during the week-end at the Kew branch of the D.S.A. "Bank. The thieves burned holes in two safe doors and secured money and jewellery valued at £1739. Detectives expressed the opinion | that the job must have occupied four hours. The whole of the safe breaking kit was left behind.
