NEW YEAR PROGRESSIVE DOUBLES TOURNEY - HELD A New Year prgressive doubles tournament was conducted yesterday by the Rotorua Bowling Club on the Government Gardens greens and resulted in a win for W. Knaggs with four wins and no losses in the skips section and for Bull with three wins and one loss in the leads division. There was a elosely contested finish in this section, Bull tying with Mayson and McEldowney, but winning on the aggregate. Detailed results: — Skips section: — W. Knaggs, 4 wins, no losses; Pakes, 3 wins, one loss; Darlow, 2 wins, 2 losses; Queenin, 2 wins, 2 losses; Merriman, 2 wins, 2 losses; Coi'bet, 2 wins, 2 losses; Polglase, one win, 3 losses; Doherty, 4 losses, no wins.
