A LEAP TO DEATH
New York, Dec. 28. Malcolm D. Whitman (55), a member of the textile firm of Lasker and Whitman, and who was the United States tennis champion from 1898 to 1900, committed suicide to-day by leaping from his penthouse, which is situated on the top of a five-storey apartment house.
