The Gqv«Niment meteorolojllst Is-sued-the following weather report and forecast last niffht: — General situation: An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand to-day, its cen tre being off the east coast-. A rather deep depression is situated o'n the western side of the Tasman Sea. Foreoast: Winds moderate and variable, but northerlies soon prevailing and gradualiy freshening. Weather: Fair to fine generaily with rising temperatures; cloud increasing soon, at first i'n the western districts and rain developing later in Taranaki and southward 'and in the far north and south. Following are ihe barometer, rnaximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 30.028ins. Thermometer (max.) 70.9deg. Thermometer (min.) 59.0deg. Rainfall 0.18ins. Bright Sunshine Nil
