FIRE TRAGEDY

WHOLE FAMILY BURNED Rec. Dec. 26, 7 p.m. London, Dee. 25. A fire occurred early in the morning in a two roomed house in a poor district of Birmingham, occupied by Patrick Weir, a crippled unemployed ex-serviceman and his family. They were caught like rats in a trap. Weir's seven children, whose ages range from two to 13 years d'ied. Weir was found almost naked, apparently having jumped from the bedroom window. He was taken to hospital with his wife and seven months old baby. Three firemen were injured.
