Rec. Dec. 26, 6 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 26. An earthquake of great severity was recorded at Sydney on Christmas Day at 12.18 p.m. and a fresh disturbance 11 minutes later. The shake was believed to have originated 6000 miles away.
