GRAND THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. DOUBLE FEATURE PROGRAMME Auto speeding provides the baclcground for Charles Jones' latest vehicle, a picture called "High Speed." It opened at the Grand Theatre last night. For high-powered thrills it can't be beat — it is punch-packed, ro-mance-tinged and sizzling with speed. Although it is an unfamiliar sight to see Charles Jones divorced from his horse "Silver," who helps his master in no small measure to provide som^ of the most exciting moments in the popular outdoor dramas the result is in no way disappointing, It anything it is a gratifying change. It 'is conclusive proof of the versatility of Jones. His medium of action has no effect on his daredevilry — he manages to inject his whirlwind, adventuresome spirit into every situation. He is just as dashing a figure in a racing car as he is on a galloping horse. SECOND FEATURE Those clever stars of the screen, Eddie Quillan and Robert Armstrong, again prove that they are one of the most capable and entertaining of all the motion picture stellar teams. This was demonstrated at the Grand Theatre last night when audiences enjoyed with enthusiasm their latest starring picture for RKO Pathe, "The Tip. Oft." Here is a production ■vyhich has everything in the way ,of entertainliient. There is drama plenty of it. There is comedy. There is action. And there is a love theme running through the entire production Wllich will hold ©veryone, young and old.
