THE WEATHER
The Government meteorolojilst issued the following weather report and forecast last niffht: — General situation: Pressure remains high to the east and low to the west of New Zealand. The disturbance over the Tasman Sea appears to have taeen losing its intensity. Forecast: Winds moderate to strong northerlies to north-westerlies,- backing shortly to southerly. Weather: Cloudy with scattered showers with some heavy falls probable^ in districts with a westerly aspect; temperatures becoming cooler. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta* tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
