TO-NIGHT. Score another bullseye, for that marksman of top-notch pictures, Mr. Tom Mix. "The Texas Bad Man" thundered. : its way out of Universal City in a maze of blood-rousing thrills to set off a miniature tornado of act-ion on the Grand Theatre screen, last night and the two-fisted Texas cowboyj was in the midst of all the shootin' and was furnishing the lion's share of the excitement. Mix plays a stalwart Texas xRanger in the disgtiise of a nasty, bold bandit — all to round up a gang of desperate crooks— and what a roundup it is! ,x ' ' There is shooting, riding and general excitement galore, and Tom Mix carries off his honours like a great picture star he is. Beautiful Lucille Powers is entirely adequate as the heroine. Willard Robertson gives a finished performance as the dual-natured crook and Fred Kohler leaves nothing to be desired as the vicious villa'in. 1 j
