Greymouth, Thursday. William Alfred Sandman (37) was committed for sentence this morning for the theft of £389 13s 3d, the property of the Australasian Temperance and General Mutual Life. Society, by whom he was employed as a canvasser, and also on a charge of fraudulently altering a Tbank lodgement slip for £2 Is 5d to £52 10s 5d. Bail was allowed. Accused is to report to the police weekly.
