-By Telegraph— Copyright).
Rec. Dec. 22, 8.0 p.m. London, Dec. 22. Walter Lindrum, in an interview with the Daily Herald, described the baulk line in billiards as the world's worst idea. Players had given the experiment an extensive trial and no one had gained. Attendance had fallen off considerahly and several leading professi'onals were hundreds of pounds down compared with last year's receipts. When records were being smashed the public wanted to witness first class billiards, particularly big breaks. When he returned to England next year he would not play baulk line billiards.
