j Rugby, Dec. 21. Asked in the House of Commons whether, in view of the, opinions expreased by various Chamhers of Commerce, the Government would now enter upon a policy designed to abrogate the existing treaties and enable 'all the colonies to give effective preference to Britain, Major D. J. Colville, Parliamentary Secretary for Overseas Trade, said- it was proposed to consult organisations representing trade generally as soon as the relevant facts could be put before them.
