There was a steady demand with values for extra choice quality slightly better. Extra choice ox sold to 17s, choice and prime 14s to 16s, secondary and dain 10s to 13s, prime cow and heifer beef 13s to 16s, other cow beef 9s to 12s, all per 1001b. Heavy prime steers ranged from £6 to £0 12s 6d;Tmedium, £5 5s to £5 17s 6d; light, £4 2s 6d to £5 2s 6d; unfinished and small-, £2 10s to £3 17s Gd; heavy prime young cows and heifers, £3 15s to £4 10s; medium £2 15s to £3 12s 6d; light, £2 2s 6d to 22 12s 6d; other cows, 25s to 42s 6d1
