RUSSIAN FARMERS MADE TO PAY TAXES IN PRODUCE

Ree. Dec. 21. Moscow, Dec. 20. The system of contract collecting of dairy produce from farms has been sapplanted by a ne\v method under which the producers pay their taxes in milk. butter and cheese. There already is an outcry against the in.iustice of a fixed scale of values, for example the farmer is credited with only 4d per litre for milk, the market value of which is lOd.
