RAGWORT
A representative of the "Post" passed through the wonderful grass country lying at the hack of Pirongia Mountain a few days ago. On every hand splendid haycrops were being colected, but an ohserver could not but feel regret at the evidence of ragwort and Californian thistle. Many of the farms were beautifully cl'ean, hut others showed only too plainly what the pest was capable of. Farms between Putaruru and Arapuni show the ragwort menace in its ipost serious form.
