j The death occurred yesterday at I his residence, Haupapa Street, of Mr. ' Edwin Ball. an old and respected rei sident of Rotorua. The late Mr. Ball who is survived by his widow came to New Zealand : from England via Queensland some i 38 years ago. He engaged in coal- , mining pursuits for six years in | Queensland and 1,8 years in Kaitan- | gata prior.to coming to Rotorua some [ 22- years ago. Mr. Ball was of a quiet I and retiring disposition and entered little into public affairs, but for the past 20 years he was an officer of the Methodist Church. For some years he' | was employed on the staff of King Georga V Hospital but at the time of his death, which occurred after a brief illness, he was living in retirement. A service will be conducted in the Methodist Church to-day at 3 p.m. and the funeral wll leave for the Rotorua Cemetery at 3.30 p.m.
