Auckland, Friday. Messrs, A. S. Paterson and Co., ! Ltd., have received the following cable from their London principals, Messrs. J. and J. Lonsdale and Co., Ltd. : — The butter market is demoralised. Buyers, having no eonfidence owing to the general depression, refuse to speculate. New Zealand, 81s to 82s; Australian, 81s. The eheese market is overstocked and depressed, and the demand is poor. White, 52s; coloured, 54s.
