IMPEACHMENT DEMANDED

Washington, Dec. 13. The House of Representatives hy a vote of 361 to 8 to-day, rejected a move by Mr. McFadden (Republican representative for Pennsylvania) for the impeaehment of Mr. H. C. Hoover on the ground that he had betrayed his country in the war debts moratorium. Mr. McFadden 'said Ihe President had1 usurped -fhe powers of Congress in proelaiming a debts moratorium. He contended that that action had led to the present situation involving the United States and her foreign debtor#. Mr. McFadden has long been a foe of the Administration. Pennsylvania Republicans in the House later demanded the resignation of Mr. McFadden as Secretary of their delegation.
