ROTORUA COMPETITION The section A matches in the Rotorua Bowling Club's fours competition were concluded when as a result of a tie between Pakes, Banlcs and Merriman, these teams played off in games of seven heads which resulted in Pakes' team being the winners. Herd was the winning skip in the B sectin and his team will play that of Pakes next Wednesday for the honour of playing the winner of section C and winning the competition. Following were the results of yesterday's games: — Webber (s), 22 beat French (s), 16; Merriman, (s), 24 beat Banks (s), 15; Tapper (s), 18 beat Richards (s), 17; Pakes (s), 22 beat Miller (s) , 7. The play-off for the tie in the section resulted as follows. Pakes (s), 11 beat Merriman (s), 3; Pakes (s), 9 beat Banks (s), 5.
