DEBRIS TEMPORARILY BLOCKS KEREU BRIDGE. The recent heavy rains have flooded both the Kereu and Raukokore Rivers, writes our East Coast correspondent, but the new Kereu River bridge has withstood the strain satisfactordly. Debris has piled up on the bridge and made it temporarily impassable to traffic, but this is rapidly being nleared and when finished traffic will be able to cross once more. Meantime one or two lorrdes and travellers are held up near Raukokore. Mr. A. P. Stuart, the Optoiki postmastex*, who has been down the Coast Road on a tour of inspection of the country post offices, was axnong those held up. ^
