i HFGH SCHOOL i ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING CEREMONY THIS EVENING SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS The iannual prize-giving ceremony the Rotorua High and Grammar Sehool will taka plaoe in the Grand Theatre at 8 o'clock this evening, when Dr. E. Marsden, Director of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Researeh will address assembled parents, friends >and pupils. As in past years, the final function of the 'School year is bound to attraet a large gathering -and owing to the length of the prize list, those attending are requested to he seated not later than 8 p.m. when it is expected the iseating accofiimodation will be taxed to its utmost. Following is the list of scholastic awards and trophies for athlstic championship events won during the ye>ar. The trophies of athletic events published in yesterday'g "Morning Post" were presentsd to the winners at the school yesterday afternoon. At 2 o'clock the pup'ils of the school assembled in the shade of the trees in the school grounds tand the trophies were presented to the successful winners by Mrs. Harwood, wife of the headmaster, Mr. W. G. Harwood. As eaeh prizewinnerj was called to the official table to receive his or her trophy, rounds of applause broke out from the pupils encircling the ground. In addition to the prize-list as published yesterday, a trophy donated by Mrs. H. Bertram for the best characteristic costume in the recent school concert was presented to Lucy Butt.
