Terrific heat culminated with a violent dust storm and some rain. Sutcliffe went cheaply, but Tate, Ames and Brown pleased the crowd with free hitting, including a couple of sixes. A loeal bowler, Rumbl-e, a left hander, found the wicket to his liking and made the ball uncomfortable for the batsmen.
