ROWING CLUB DANCE
The Opotiki Rowing Club dance, which was held in the Lyric Hall on Wednesday evening, was successful as well as enjoyable. The Semla Orchestra, with its latest dance numbers, supplied the music with lively extras by Miss B. Ensoll and Miss K. Hickey. During the evening Mr. B. Fenwick gave a very clever aerobatie step dance. Several monte carlos added to the fun of the evening and a goose which was put up for competition was won by Miss Donovau (Kutarare). Some of the ladies present were: — Mesdames G. A. Allen, W. Patterson, T. O'Sullivan, T. J. Webb, A. Cate, F. Voss, Healey (Tauranga), F. Rennett, M. Kearney. Misses F. Shalfoon, D. Wolfe, L. Parkinson, O. Parkinson, B. Abbott, J. Battle, J. Kelly, J. Downey, B. Ensoll, N, Hickey, K. Hickey, F. Mulhern, E. Hollard, A. Dodgson, L. Hartshorne, D. Patterson, N. Johnson, E. Ambler, , F. Abbott, N. Clark, M. McNaught, P. Todd, G. Stewart, D. Voss, E. Peoples, M. McDonnell. Throughout the dance Mr. B. Mulhern carried out the duties of M.C.
