GRAND THEATRE

TO-NIGHT. "The Rider of Death Valley" was filmed in the famous desert which is the lowest spot in the United States and the hottest. Thousands and thousands of moving pictura fans are delighted at the return of Tom Mix to the screen. They are delighted to find th'at in talking .pictures he is 'even a greater star than he was three years ago when he was the reigning western star of all time. His second feature, "The Rider of Death Valley," opens to-night at the Grand Theatre. It is a typical Tom Mix hard-rid-ing, hard-fighting picture, with beautiful Lois Wilson, onery Fred Kohler and silky-villain Forrest Stanley in featured roles. It also introduces little Edith Fellowes, the charming scholar . at Universal's "little red schoolh'ouse," in a delightful role. In 'addition, there are a number of the stars and featured players of yesterday mixed up in this desert adventure in which a sand storm and a gigantic explosion play dominant parts. They are M'ae Busch, Otis Harlan,, Pete Morrison, Max Asher and Edmund Cobb,-all of whoixi have had feature light billing in the sil'ent days of the screen. And then there is Tony, the most famous horse in the world, who Tn this pdcture plays the role of the gallant rescuei*. All in 'all, "The Rider of Death Valley'" is one of the pictures which no one who likes exeitem'ent and something going on every minute caxx affoi'd to miss.
