ST. LUKE'S GIRLS' CLUB.
ENJOYABLE CLOSING DANCE. Decorations in ramhler roses made St. Luke's Hall look very attractive fox* the last dance of the yearof the St. Luke's Girls' Club. Bright music was supplied by Messrs. Noxu'is and Painton, and during the evening Miss Olive Beamish sang two deliglxtful solos. The Rev. Mr. Corbin, in expressing tlianks to the president, vice-p'resi-dents and those holding ofiice for the valuable work they 'had done for the club, toolc the opportunity on behalf of tlxe girls to present Miss M. Mactiei*, tlxe president', with a dainty crystal rose-bowl and bouquet of pink and white rosehuds. Miss Mactiex* briefly thanked the girls for their beautiful gift and wished all a bappy Christmas. Among the xnembers of the cornnxittee present were Miss M. Mactier, Mrs. Mewburn, Mrs. J. M. Hemphill, Miss E. S'harpe,- Miss R. Owens, Miss I. Wright, Miss N. Allen. Others px*esent were: Mrs. N. M. Keane, Mrs. Lunt, Mrs. E. E. Harvey, Miss Kingon, Miss J. Winslade, Miss O. Sliultz, Miss O. Beamish, Miss E. Pilkington, Miss P. St. Claii*, Miss S. Wilson, Miss C. Wilson, Miss M. Ruddy, Miss M. Barnes, Miss J. Allen, Miss M. Hughes, Miss K. Murray, Miss J. Cotti'ell, Miss V. Butler, Miss Y. Ingham, Miss C. Kelly, Miss J. Wylie and Miss G. Lysnar.
