WEDDING
ENGLISH — DAYIES. I A wedding of interest was celebrated last Wednesday evening at St. John's Pi~esbyterian Church when Daisy M. Davies, only danghter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Davies, of Eruera St., Rotorua, was married to Mi\ William English, of Tauranga, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. English, Northumberland, England. The church had been attractively decorated for the occasion by girl friends of the bride with pink sweet peas and blue delphiniums, and the eeremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon E. W. Chatterton. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. F. Davies, wore a eharming frock of ivory crepe roanette fashioned on slim fitting lines with a fully-flared ankle length slcirt. Her veil of embroidered tulle was held in place by a dainty Juliet cap of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf bouquet of pale pink carnations and maidennair fern. The bride was attended hy Miss
Audrey Brackebush, who wore a model frock of shell pink peau d'ange lace fashioned with a long slim fitting corsage and graeeful berthe collar. The skirt was inset with godets of the same material and a large pink blue bow was worn at the back. Her hat of shell pink crinoline was trimaned with blue, and she carried a sheaf of blue delphiniums and love-in-the-niist. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. L. MacNamara, of Tauranga. The bride's mother was in a srnart gown. of black sillc brocaded marocain relieved with deep cream lace. She wore a black hat and carried a bouquet of shell pink sweet peas. At the conclusion of the eeremony several solos wero sung by Miss M. Kronfelt, Mr. R. Miller presiding at the organ. Following the eeremony, an informal dance was given at St. John's llall in honour of the happy couple hy Mr. and Mrs. J.
