MAJESTIC THEATRE

TO-DAY AND TO-NIGHT. Sparlding with spicy dialogue and moving- swiftly with a modern romance, Norma Shearer's new Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer starring vehicle, with Robert Montgomery, "Strangers May Kiss," is now showing at the Majestie Theatre. More striking in th'ese than "The Divorcee," also penned by Ursula Parrott, th'e new Sh e arer-Montgo mer y vehicle clo'Sely adheres to the story of the new best-seller, presenting a moving and intimate picture of the modern young woman who defies convention to elope with a globe-trotting adventurer. Miss Shearer never appeared to better iadvantag,e in her new film and easily eclipses her own triumphs of last season when she won the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award for the outstanding performance. George Fitzmaurice directed ths feature and may be credited with a masterful piece of work. Neil Hamilton, Marjorie Kambeau, Hale Hamilton, Irene Rich, Conchita Montenegro, Jed Prouty and Albert Conti are in the big cast. The settings and costumes are particularly outstanding and lend much to the pdctorial value of the splendid production.
