SCHOOL CADETS
THREE FURTHER TROPHIES ANNEXED BY ROTORUA The successes gained by the Rotorua High School cadet company have | earned it a record which stands j among the first of the. secondary | school companies in New Zealand. I Notification of further successes j was contained in a telegram receiv- • ed yesterday by the school authoriI ties: "Your school cadets are the winj ners of the John Logan Campbell j vase, the MeDermott Cup and Gunson Cup, and have been nominated with the command for the Islington Challenge Cup." The first three trophies are for competition among cadet companies using .22 rifles and the last for cadets over the age of 17 years using the .303 service rifle. This is the first time the school has competed for the Islington Challenge Cup and the first time the three first-named cups have been won by the school. These successes, following the winning of the Imperial Daughters of the Empire Cup, are convincing testimony as to the efficiency of the high school eompany.
