Auckland, Monday, Rev. Father Holbrook, of Auckland, who returned to-day after attending the Eucharistic Congress, said that as far as the. Free State's jurisdiction extended it had far great er liberty than was ever eontemplated under home. rule, but the unnatural partition of the north from the south was the greatest blunder and injustice. • Generally, Ireland appeared the least affected by the depression of the countries he visited, and he b.elieved that when the present dispute with 'England w-as settled she would enjoy a prosperous future.
