Christchurch, Monday. The theft of goods valued at £1000 from 17 houses in and about the city, was admitted to-day, by Wallace Mansell Jones, an unemployed carpenter, who was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The police said the man had concentrated on better class homes, over a period of a year. One-third of the goods had been recovered.
