GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. Life in New York, as many a girl in the provinces would expect to find it, ispresented in "Two Kinds of Women," the action-drama thriller which is now showing at the Grand Theatre. Miriam Hopkins, as th'e girl from Dakota who goes to Gotham with her senatorial father, has the lead in the play. She finds romance in the city in the persons of Wynne Gibson, James Crane, Stanley Fields and others. Stuart Erwin has an amusing part in the play. J'ohn Breeden, Broadway juvenile who made his screen debut under the Paramounf} ae^is in "The Bfelovbd Bachelor," has an important part in Kay Francis' latest picture, the second feature on the programme, "The False Madonna." In "The False Madonna," Breeden is the wealthy orphan youth who had been deserted in infancy by his real mother. Kay Francis, working with a gang of international confidence crooks, is represented to him as his mother and he never learns o£ this deceit. He becomes greatly attached to this "False Madonna," and she in turn finds herself genuinely in love with him. Breeden's role is c. sympathetic one.
