"OWN MEDICINE"
(Press. Assn.-
ENGLISH FAST BOWLING
— By Telegraph — Oopyrlght),
Rec. Dec. 2, 7.0 p.m. London, Dec. 2. The Morning Post in an editorial, says the real explanation of the failure of the leading Australian cricketers is the fact that they do not like fast stuff, especially when bumped. Bradman, whose loss is disastrous to Australia, certainly prefers moderate paced stuff that comes along half stump high. Remembering the hard knoeks the English batsmen received in the past from Australian fast bowlers, not-a-bly the McGregor and McDonald combination of 1922, our friendly enemies, must not complain if they are g'iven a taste of the same medicine. The artiele eoncludes by warning enthusiasts that Australian cricketers have the gift of rising to a great occasion. Indeed they are never so formidable as when they seem beaten.
