WHOLE FARM LOADED ON A BRITISH TRAIN. RAILWAY ENTERPRISE. London, Sept. 28. Last night a special train of 35 waggons and coaches left Dereham, Norfolk, for Staines, Middlesex, with the complete personnel, furniture, live stock, and equipment of a farmer who is moving to new pastures. The train included 14 waggons for live stock, four trucks for barley, two containers for furniture, and a passenger carriage for eight adults and five children. Loading took place during the afternoon, and the train left Dereham at 9.35 p.m. It travelled over the L.N.E.R. system by way of Wymondham and Stratford, then over the L.M.S. line across North London to Acton, where it joined the G.W.R. line for Staines, being due at its destination a little before daybreak today. Removals of entire far mequipment in one operation have beconie a feature of rnodern railway enterprise. In February a farmer transferred from a holding at Hornby, Lancashire, to Wmchcombe, Gloucestershire, a distance of 200 miles; and in December another farmer moved from Ingleton, Yorkshire, to Liphook, Hampshire, a journey of 290 miles. In the latter case the load included 150 sheep, 300 fowls, 32 head of cattle, two dogs, six tons of furniture, carts, haycutting machines, and other implements.
