BODY FOUND
BELIEVED VICTIM OF RECENT TAKAPUNA DROWNING Thames, Monday. The hody of a man, clad in a one-t piece black bathing suit, was found by two relief workers. at -10 a.m. yest.erday on the beach at Whangahumi, south of Waiaro, Coromandel. It is thought it is the body of Mr. Edward E. Grimwade, who disappeared while bathing off Takapuna Beach on November. 17. Relatives of the missing man arrived to-day to identify the body, which is that of a man between 50 and 70 years of age, with grey hair, hald at the top, ahout 5ft 9in. in height. Constable Peters and the district coroner, Mr- J. W. Rhodes, yesterday carried the body a considerable distance to a motor lorry, which conveyed it to the morgue in Coromandel. The inquest was opened last evening, and adjourned sine die.
