APPLE, CELERY AND NUT SALAD

Six eating apples, 1 head celery, pepper and salt, 3oz shelled walnuts, mayonnaise. Trim the celery, wash it thoroughly, cut all the white sticks and the heart | into dice. Peel and core the apples and cut into dice; put these in a bowl with the celery. Stir the chopped nuts into the other ingredients, season with salt and pepper, and add suffieient mayonnaise to bind the ingredients. Mix all well together and garnish with curled celery.
