Mrs. W. H. Speer, of Haupapa St., has returned from attending the Methodist Synod in Auckland. Miss Mary Bertram has returned. to her home, "The Mount," after the 'Varsity term in Auckland. Mrs. St. Clair and the Misses V. and P. St. Claii*, are spending this week in Auckland as guests of Mrs. Von Sturmer. Mrs. R. English, of Hamilton, was a guest at Princes Gate during the weelc-end. Miss Searell, matron of King George Y. Hospital, who has heen spending an extended holiday in Auckland, return>ed home last week. Mrs. J. Ruddy, of Hinemoa St., has returned from a motor trip in the south.
