AMNUAL CAMP OE .FIRST BATTALION, HAURAKI REGIMENT^ FIXED FOR FEBRUARY ' It has been definitely decided to hold the annnal training camp of the First Battalion of the Hauraki Regiment on the Arawa Pai'k froni .Fehruary 18 to 25. It is hoped that all ~ volunteers who can make the nec.essary arrangements will he present. All officers are required to attend. The minimum amount of training which must be carried out prior to the camp eovers 30 hours, includihg the small arms course. In the *camp the training syllabus will conclude with tactical exereise on the battalion in attack. ' ■ ... Competitions in eonneetion with .the Infantry Brigade Challenge Cup'j.and the Logan Campbell Challenge Belt, will he held. The men will he paid 4/- a day while in camp. Local Shoot . The Rotorua Viclcers Gun Section fired their annual gun course during the last week-end. There was an> attendanee of 24 members. The following were the seore of 90. and over-: . R. Musgrave 193, G. Those who ohtain 100. or .o.ver ,ape classifted as marksmen machine.gunners. A good performance was put.up by R. Musgrave and G. Pipson.considering they are two of the last members to join.
