The Goverument meteorolojilst isi, sued the following weather report and forecast last niffht: — General situation: An anti-cyclone stili covers the Ciominion, its centre havfng crossed the northern district to-dayj the depression situated over southern Australia has intensified somewhat. Forecast: Winds northerly, moderate generally at first, but gradually increasing in force. Weather: Fair to fine and . warm generally, but stili some scattered showers in the far south, and soon ctrruding over fn western districts with rain gradually developing. Following are the barometer, maximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta> tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at S.30 a.m. yesterday. Barometer 30.127ins. Thermometer (max.) 69.5deg. Thermometer (min.) 48.4deg. Thermometer (min. on grass) 39.6deg. Rainfall .... T Nil Bright Sunshine 7.6hrs.
