PRICES AT WAIHOU SALE REMAIN AT LATE RATES Hamilton, Saturday. The Farmers' Co-operative Auetioneering Company, Ltd., report: — At the Waihou sale yesterday only a medium yarding of cattle came forward. Beef was p'enned in average numbers and no alteration on late rates was recorded. Store cattle also remained unchanged^ The yarding of pigs, a heavy one, comprised of over 400 baconers and porkers with 150 stores and weaners. Competition on fat pigs was brisk at late rates. Stores and weaners advanced slightly on late rates. Quotations. Heavy fat cows, £2 18s to £3 6s; medium fat cows and heifers, £2 8s to £2 12s; lighter and killable cows, 35s to £2 3s; fresh cond. cows, 22 6d to 30s; boner cow 8s to 18s; bulls, 30s to £2 10s; young cows and heifers, 22s 6d to 27s 6d; good yearling Jersey heifers, £2 17s 6d to £3 5s; yearling Jerseys and Jersey cross heifers, 35s to £2 10s; heifers, dose to profit £5 to £6;- heifers, later calvers £2 to £3 15s; sound cows, in milk, £3 10s to £4 5s; springing cows, £3 to £5. Pigs: Heavy choppers, £1 10s to £2 2s; light choppers, 19s to £1 7s; heavy baconers, 39s to £2 2s; medium baconers, 35s to 37s; light baconers, 28s to 33s; heavy porkers 25s to 27s; medium porkers, 23s to 24s; light porkers, 22s to 23s; light 18s to 22s, Tamworth SOWS in pig, £1 to £1 11s; stone p-igs 16s 6d to 18s 6d; slips 11s to 14s 6d; best weaners 12s 6d to 14s; small weaners, 8s 6d to 10s 6 d.
